The Upper Room: John 14:15-31 - Pastor Jason Foreman

In this message on John 14:15–31 from the Upper Room series, Pastor Jason examines Jesus' words to His disciples on the eve of His crucifixion. Looking at how obedience and love are interconnected, the sermon highlights that true obedience is not a burdensome duty or a list of rules, but the natural outpouring of receiving God's love and loving Him back. God expresses His love toward us through His self-disclosure and abiding presence—sending the Holy Spirit to remain with us, teach us, and grant us a lasting peace that the world cannot offer.

On the night before His crucifixion, Jesus spent His final hours not thinking of Himself, but of those He loved. He washed weary feet, comforted troubled hearts, promised the Holy Spirit, prepared His followers for suffering, prayed for their faith, and prayed even for us.

In this 12-week journey through John 13–17, we'll see the love of Christ displayed in remarkable ways, and discover how His love continues to shape and sustain His people today.
